Program Manager, Communications Technology

ABM is seeking a strategic and collaborative communications professional to support enterprise technology, transformation, and procurement initiatives across the organization.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Executive & Strategic Communications, this role will serve as a trusted partner to Technology leaders and project teams, helping drive awareness, understanding, and adoption of technology initiatives that impact employees across a large, distributed workforce.

This position is ideal for a communications professional, who combines technology communications experience with an understanding of how change impacts operational and frontline teams. You'll play a critical role in helping employees navigate technology transformations, system implementations, process improvements, and digital workplace initiatives.

As ABM continues its enterprise-wide digital transformation journey, you'll help bridge the gap between technology and business teams by translating complex technical concepts into clear, compelling communications that drive engagement and action.

Key Responsibilities

Communications & Business Partnership

  • Partner closely with Technology, Transformation, and Procurement leaders to develop and execute communication strategies.
  • Support enterprise technology programs, digital transformation initiatives, and organizational change efforts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to project leaders, helping shape communication plans that drive understanding and adoption.
  • Translate technical concepts into communications that resonate with both corporate and frontline audiences.
  • Build strong relationships across technology, operations, and business functions.

Technology & Change Communications

  • Lead communications for technology implementations, application upgrades, digital workplace initiatives, and business transformation programs.
  • Develop communication plans that support employee readiness, adoption, and engagement.
  • Create content including emails, leadership messaging, presentations, FAQs, intranet articles, toolkits, and change support materials.
  • Provide communication support during system outages, business continuity events, and critical technology incidents.

Employee Engagement & Adoption

  • Develop campaigns that increase awareness and usage of enterprise technologies and digital tools.
  • Gather feedback and measure communication effectiveness.
  • Recommend improvements based on adoption data, employee insights, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Support initiatives that improve employee experience and organizational alignment.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve communication effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Stay informed on technology communications, change management, and digital adoption best practices.
  • Bring creative ideas and innovative approaches to help engage employees during periods of change.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, Journalism, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in technology communications, internal communications, change management, project communications, or employee engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise technology initiatives, system implementations, digital transformation programs, or large-scale organizational change.
  • Proven ability to simplify technology topics for diverse audiences.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders, technology teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and communication planning skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Sales Force, and collaboration tools.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting technology organizations within service-based, operational, or customer-focused environments.
  • Experience communicating system deployments, cybersecurity initiatives, business process improvements, enterprise platforms, or digital workplace solutions.
  • Familiarity with communication platforms, employee engagement tools, and analytics.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT to improve content development and workflow efficiency.
  • Knowledge of change management and employee adoption methodologies.

Benefit Information:

Pay: $100,000.00-$115,000.00

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.
