The Opportunity
We're looking for a commercially minded Commercial Marketing Manager to play a key role in driving growth across Agriconnect's portfolio of five events and commercial products.
This is a broad marketing role combining strategy, demand generation, digital marketing, data and sales enablement. You'll work closely with Sales and teams across the wider business to create integrated campaigns that generate high-quality leads, support sponsorship and exhibition sales, strengthen client relationships and contribute directly to commercial revenue.
You'll have real ownership of the commercial marketing agenda, with the opportunity to use data, insight and creative campaigns to identify, engage and convert new audiences.
What You'll Do
Commercial Marketing & Campaigns
- Own the commercial marketing strategy across Agriconnect's events, media brands and commercial products.
- Develop integrated campaigns across email, social media, SEO, PPC, partnerships and content.
- Lead the commercial social media and PPC strategy, including managing external agencies.
- Work with Content, Design and Digital teams to develop engaging campaign assets.
- Manage marketing budgets and optimise activity to maximise ROI.
- Identify new opportunities to grow audiences, generate demand and support commercial growth.
Lead Generation & Sales Enablement
- Develop targeted lead generation campaigns that create meaningful commercial opportunities.
- Deliver and nurture MQLs and SQLs in partnership with Sales.
- Work with Sales to improve lead quality, conversion and client retention.
- Develop lead nurture and marketing automation programmes.
- Build campaigns that support both new business acquisition and existing client relationships.
Data & Audience Growth
- Own the commercial data acquisition and database growth strategy.
- Identify target sectors, organisations and decision-makers to build high-value prospect audiences.
- Work with Sales, Data and CRM teams to identify gaps and improve data quality.
- Use events, content, digital campaigns, partnerships and social media to acquire new contacts and consented data.
- Develop segmentation and audience strategies to support targeted lead generation, nurture and account-based campaigns.
- Monitor database growth, engagement and conversion to demonstrate commercial value.
Insight & Performance
- Track campaign ROI, pipeline contribution, CPL, MQLs, SQLs and conversion rates.
- Use data and insight to optimise campaigns and inform future activity.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and opportunities across the agricultural and B2B landscape.
- Maintain strong CRM data quality and governance.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key marketing partner to the Commercial Sales team.
- Collaborate across Sales, Customer Success, Events, Editorial, Digital and Data.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and strategic partners.
- Attend Agriconnect and relevant industry events as required.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in B2B marketing, particularly demand generation, lead generation or sales enablement.
- Experience developing and delivering integrated, multi-channel campaigns.
- Experience managing PPC, paid social and external agencies.
- Strong understanding of CRM and marketing automation.
- Commercially minded, with experience using data and insight to drive marketing decisions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project management skills.
- Highly organised, adaptable and comfortable working at pace.
- Experience in B2B events, media, publishing, information or data-led businesses would be advantageous.
