We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to bring new functions, events and group dining business into our Auckland venues. You’ll get out into the market, build relationships, win new clients and match each booking with the right space across our portfolio.
This role is for someone who enjoys the chase as much as the result: finding the lead, making the pitch and seeing it turn into a confirmed booking.
What you’ll do
- Win new business from corporate clients, event organisers, wedding clients, PCOs and industry partners.
- Manage opportunities from first conversation and venue showcase through to proposal, booking and handover to the venue team.
- Build a strong sales pipeline and deliver against agreed revenue targets.
- Grow existing accounts and keep clients coming back for their next event.
- Work closely with our Auckland venue teams to find the best fit for each client and make the most of opportunities across the portfolio.
What you’ll bring
- At least three years’ experience in sales, business development, hospitality or event planning.
- A track record of winning business and achieving sales or revenue targets.
- A strong understanding of the functions, events and wedding markets.
- Confidence in pitching, presenting and negotiating with clients.
- The organisation to manage multiple leads and keep your pipeline moving.
Experience working with hospitality venues would be a bonus.
