Who this fits

You’ll suit an independent, metrics-focused sales role centered on Japanese-market outreach and account relationships. The position is based in Tokyo and requires native Japanese plus fluent business English. It fits someone pursuing a sales and relationship-management career who brings energy, curiosity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

From the employer

The Team

Enfusion by Clearwater is the investment management system built for institutional asset managers — a cloud-native, front-to-back platform spanning portfolio management, order and execution management, risk, analytics, and accounting. The Revenue Department is critical to Clearwater’s continued growth across Asia-Pacific. Spread across multiple verticals — including Operations, New Sales, Solutions Engineering, Sales Development, and Partnerships — Clearwater Sales is instrumental in broadening our footprint in the region by delivering strategic business initiatives.

The Role

As a based in Tokyo, you will introduce Enfusion by Clearwater to prospects across the Japanese market, set the tone for the sales cycle, and help drive our growth — while also providing account-management coverage for the relationships you build. Your primary focus is outreach: creating, identifying, and qualifying new prospect leads and building a healthy pipeline. Alongside this, you will nurture and manage existing accounts as a trusted point of contact, uncovering opportunities to deepen those relationships. You’ll learn from seasoned, high-performing sales executives while educating prospective clients on the value of our products and services and setting meetings for key decision makers and our subject matter experts. If you are ambitious, competitive, intelligent, and looking to build a successful career in sales and client relationships, this is the opportunity for you.

What You’ll Do

This is a highly independent, execution-focused role measured against clear, quantifiable metrics — including number of meetings booked, number of new relationships established, and the quality of your meeting notes. You will be expected to operate autonomously and consistently hit your numbers.

Outreach & pipeline (primary focus)

  • Execute outreach against your assigned targets in the Japanese market, putting management’s lead-generation strategy into action

  • Research targeted personas within institutional asset manager, insurer, and hedge fund accounts to ensure effective conversations

  • Initiate contact with targeted prospects through personalized emails, cold calling, direct outreach, and social media touch points

  • Achieve or exceed goals for number of meetings, new relationships established, sales qualified leads, and sales accepted leads (in both quantity and quality), ensuring a proper handoff to Sales to grow company revenue

  • Capture high-quality, detailed meeting notes to ensure clean handoffs and accurate pipeline tracking

  • Offer pertinent resources (white papers, e-books, infographics, relevant blog articles) to prospects to foster relationships and increase education early in the buying process

Account management

  • Serve as a relationship point of contact for assigned accounts, building trust and long-term rapport

  • Identify clients’ evolving needs and uncover cross-sell and expansion opportunities

  • Partner with client servicing teams and subject matter experts to ensure a seamless client experience and high satisfaction

  • Qualify client interests and viability to drive ongoing sales

General

  • Proactively learn Enfusion by Clearwater products and services, competitor products, and the industry

  • Meet with your assigned Sales Reps and establish clear expectations for your partnership

What You’ll Need

  • Drive to achieve quantifiable metrics-driven results through ownership, process optimization, and upstanding character

  • 3+ years of post-graduate experience in a lead-generating, sales, or client-facing role

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Native Japanese and fluent (business-level) English

  • A passion for learning

  • High-energy, team-first, and problem-solving mentality

  • Track record of prior success and a strong work ethic

  • A strong understanding of, and well-defined reason for, pursuing a sales and relationship-management career

  • Ability to engage in meaningful conversations at all levels of management

  • Excellent relationship-building skills

  • Knowledge of a CRM (e.g. Salesforce) or database is an advantage

  • Experience with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
