From the employer

About Fitness & Lifestyle Group

Fitness & Lifestyle Group (FLG) is Asia Pacific's largest group of corporately owned health and wellness clubs — 310+ locations, 600,000+ members, and five of the region's most recognised fitness brands: Fitness First Australia, Goodlife Health Clubs, Jetts Fitness, Zap Fitness and Barry's.

We're headquartered in Australia with regional offices across South East Asia, and we're on a mission to help our global community live stronger, happier lives.

The Opportunity

At Fitness First, we believe fitness has the power to transform lives. As Senior Marketing Manager, you will lead the marketing strategy and execution for one of Australia’s most recognised fitness brands, shaping how Fitness First shows up in market and how we attract, engage and retain members.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will own end-to-end marketing delivery for Fitness First across Australia. As the brand custodian, you will develop and execute full-funnel marketing strategies that strengthen brand awareness, drive member acquisition and deliver commercial results across paid, owned and earned channels.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work across brand, digital, media, partnerships and member communications, turning strategy into action and ideas into measurable commercial outcomes. You will work closely with agency partners and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful campaigns, product launches, partnerships and tactical initiatives, including major club openings and high-visibility campaigns across the Fitness First portfolio.

You will also lead, coach and develop the Digital Marketing Manager and Marketing Executive, bringing together strategic thinking, creative execution and commercial performance to help shape the future of the Fitness First brand.

Please note, this is a 9-month contract covering a period of parental leave.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver annual marketing strategies that drive brand growth, member acquisition and commercial performance.

  • Own the Fitness First campaign calendar, including product launches, club openings, partnerships and tactical campaigns.

  • Act as brand guardian, ensuring all activity is consistent with brand positioning, creative standards and member experience.

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels.

  • Partner with media agencies to develop effective channel strategies, media plans and budget allocation.

  • Oversee digital marketing performance across paid media, SEO, content, email, website and app experiences.

  • Drive member lifecycle communications, including acquisition, onboarding, retention and win-back initiatives.

  • Manage marketing budgets, reporting, campaign analysis and optimisation to maximise return on investment.

  • Lead, coach and develop the Digital Marketing Manager and Marketing Executive.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, agencies and partners to deliver seamless, high-impact marketing outcomes.

About You

You are a commercially minded marketer who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. You are energised by variety, enjoy managing multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities evolve quickly.

A natural collaborator, you build strong relationships across teams, agencies and partners, influencing stakeholders to deliver great outcomes. You balance creativity with analytical thinking, using data and insights to make decisions while never losing sight of the customer experience. You are equally comfortable leading big-picture brand strategy as you are briefing campaigns, reviewing performance metrics or refining communications.

Key Experience

  • Experience in marketing, with strong expertise across brand, digital performance and campaign management.

  • Experience in a B2C environment, ideally within premium consumer brands – either from agency environments or in-house marketing teams.

  • Proven experience developing and delivering integrated, full-funnel marketing campaigns.

  • Strong understanding of media strategy, planning, agency management and budget oversight.

  • Experience across paid search, paid social, SEO, email marketing and member lifecycle communications.

  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta platforms and digital performance reporting.

  • Experience writing and briefing email, SMS and digital communications.

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data, generate insights and optimise campaign performance.

  • Previous people leadership experience, with a passion for developing team capability.

  • Strong project management skills and experience working across multiple stakeholders, priorities and deadlines.

  • Experience using workflow or project management tools such as Monday.com is highly regarded.
