Growth Roles summary, based on the employer's posting.
What you'll do
- Set target segments, channel priorities, and the qualification standard for inbound B2B services enquiries
- Build content on labour law, Indonesia market entry, and sector guidance to demonstrate regulatory expertise
- Run the website, high-intent SEO, and LinkedIn to attract relevant international-company buyers
- Create the lead scoring and handoff workflow that gives business development usable enquiry context
- Track qualified-lead cost and marketing-sourced pipeline while enforcing consistent messaging across materials
What you bring
- You have proven B2B marketing experience in a considered, relationship-led services sale
- You can show measured success generating qualified pipeline, with concrete results beyond campaign activity
- You write professionally in both English and Bahasa Indonesia for an international audience
- You can personally execute content, SEO, LinkedIn, and website work without an initial marketing team
- You understand pipeline economics and can work independently alongside business development
Who this fits
This suits a hands-on first marketing hire who can set direction, build the function, and own demand through handoff. You will report to the Managing Director, work with business development, and initially operate without direct reports. The role is remote from Indonesia and may later include marketing acquisition for a blue-collar workforce platform.
From the employer
IBMC provides EOR, PEO, payroll, recruitment and compliance services to international companies operating in Indonesia. Our growth so far has come through referral, network and direct relationships. We are hiring a Marketing Manager to build a repeatable demand engine, so that qualified inbound enquiry becomes a reliable source of pipeline rather than an occasional one. This is a first marketing hire. There is no existing marketing function to inherit, which means you set the strategy, build the channels, and own the numbers. You will work closely with business development, who convert and hold the client relationships you generate.
Where this role sits
You will report to the Managing Director and work in close partnership with business development, who own client relationships and conversion. Marketing owns demand creation and qualification up to the point of handover. This is a functional lead position without direct reports initially, with team expansion considered against demonstrated pipeline contribution.
What you will own
- Demand generation strategy: define which segments to target, which channels to build, and what qualified enquiry actually looks like for a B2B services business with long consideration cycles
- Positioning and messaging: articulate clearly why a foreign company entering Indonesia should use IBMC rather than a competitor or a do-it-yourself entity setup
- Content engine: build a consistent output of material that demonstrates genuine regulatory and operational expertise, including labour law updates, market entry guidance and sector briefings
- Digital presence: own the website, SEO for high-intent search terms, and LinkedIn as the primary channel where our buyers actually are
- Lead qualification and handover: define the process by which an enquiry becomes a qualified lead and reaches business development with enough context to act on
- Marketing measurement: establish baseline metrics and report on cost per qualified lead and pipeline contribution, not impressions and follower counts
- Brand consistency: bring coherence across proposals, decks, website and outbound material, which currently vary by whoever produced them
- Worker platform marketing, as scope expands: IBMC is building a blue-collar workforce platform. Worker-side acquisition is a different discipline from B2B demand generation, and you will be expected to help shape that go-to-market as it comes online
First six months: what success looks like
Period Expected outcome
- Month 1 to 2 Positioning and target segments defined and agreed. Baseline metrics established, including current enquiry volume and source. Website and digital presence audited with a fix list.
- Month 3 to 4 Content engine running at a sustainable cadence. High-intent search terms identified and being worked. Lead qualification and handover process agreed with business development and in use.
- Month 5 to 6 Measurable qualified inbound pipeline attributable to marketing. Cost per qualified lead established. Clear view of which channels justify further investment and which do not.
Requirements
- Proven B2B marketing experience in a services business, ideally professional services, HR services, consulting or similar, where the sale is considered and relationship-led rather than transactional
- Track record generating qualified pipeline, with real numbers you can speak to, not campaign activity as an end in itself
- Strong written English and Bahasa Indonesia, because much of this role is producing credible written material for an international audience
- Practical hands-on capability across content, SEO, LinkedIn and website management, since this is a build role without a team beneath it initially
- Commercial literacy: comfortable working alongside business development and being measured on pipeline rather than activity
- Able to work independently and set direction, given there is no existing marketing playbook here to follow
Useful but not required
- Understanding of EOR, PEO or employment compliance as a category
- Experience marketing to foreign companies entering a new market, or to China-based or regional outbound investors
- Consumer or worker-side acquisition experience, relevant to the platform scope above
- Design capability or comfort directing external design resource
