Who this fits

This role suits a collaborative creative leader who can guide staff and volunteers while developing experiences for children across age groups. You’ll work onsite in the United States for forty to forty-five hours on weekdays, with some weekends. Regular LCBC participation is part of the role, and you’ll report to the Central Director of Next Gen.

Role: Central kidMinistry Creative Director

Reports to: Central Director of Next Gen

Hours Commitment: 40-45 hours per week (Monday-Friday with some weekends)

Purpose statement: Provide support to all kidMinistry gatherings on Locations by providing excellent customer service, programing support, resources and creative oversite of our kid environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinate the weekend gathering to ensure excellence. This includes leading planning meetings to creatively develop the elements of the experiences that will reinforce and support the message, games, atrium plus 1's and overall program.
Lead a team of campus staff and volunteers to develop content that is intentional and developmentally appropriate for each age demographic we serve in kid ministry.
Stay in touch with culture trends to effectively connect the culture with the gospel and providing input and direction to the content, environment, and program teams.
Storyboard, direct, script, and coordinate weekly videos and special element videos that support the weekend experience as well as key initiatives. Video work will be completed in partnership with the Communications team, who will manage video capture, editing and completing post-production work for each video.
Act as the aesthetic and creative visionary for kidMinistry series and other large key initiatives.

Evaluation:

The Central kidMinistry Creative Director will meet regularly with the Central Direcor of Next Gen for planning, goal-setting, progress updates, and general coaching. A formal Action and Development Plan will be completed and reviewed three times throughout the year.
