  • You are enrolled in a university programme covering business, marketing, product management, life sciences, health sciences or a related subject
  • You understand the basics of marketing, product work or market research and can apply them
  • You can organise and analyse work, use PowerPoint and Excel confidently, and follow up with multiple contributors
  • You write and speak English fluently and bring a proactive, detail-focused working style

Who this fits

This internship suits a university student seeking practical experience across product coordination, regulatory workflows, market analysis and marketing delivery. You should be comfortable taking responsibility, coordinating across European teams and asking for help when needed. The placement runs for five to six months, preferably at thirty-two to forty hours weekly, with timing shaped around your study programme. Dutch or German would help but is not required.

From the employer

Would you like to gain hands-on experience in product and marketing management within an international healthcare company? At Mediq, you will support projects that help bring diabetes care products and marketing materials to European markets. You will work with colleagues across countries and disciplines, from Global Brand and Regulatory Affairs to local teams and external suppliers.

What will you do?

You will contribute to three projects:

  • Coordinate the development, approval and implementation of packaging artwork for a new pen needle, a safety lancet and blood glucose monitoring products. You will help keep stakeholders aligned and track artwork through final approval.
  • Analyse the market and competitors for a blood glucose and ketone monitoring product in the UK, the Nordics and the Netherlands. You will turn your findings into clear product requirements.
  • Help develop and adapt launch materials for a new smart blood glucose monitoring product, so that teams in the Netherlands and the Nordics have the assets they need.

Throughout the internship, you will learn how product development, regulatory processes, market insights and marketing execution come together in practice.

Who are you?

You are a university student in Business, Marketing, Product Management, Life Sciences, Health Sciences or a related field. You have an interest in healthcare products and bring:

  • A basic understanding of marketing, product management or market research;
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills;
  • Confidence using PowerPoint and Excel;
  • The ability to coordinate with different people and follow up on actions;
  • A proactive, structured approach and attention to detail;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

You enjoy taking ownership of your work and know when to ask for support. Speaking Dutch or German is an advantage, but is not required.

What can you expect?

You will gain practical experience in an international Diabetes Care environment, with guidance from the team of Global Product Managers and the Category Sourcing Director. You will work on projects with clear outcomes, collaborate with teams across Europe and develop your skills in project coordination, product management, market analysis and marketing.

The internship lasts 5–6 months, preferably for 32–40 hours per week. We can discuss the exact period and schedule based on the requirements of your study programme. The internship allowance is €650 gross per month.
