Department Overview
You will be responsible for the marketing of "Rakuten Mart," an online supermarket that handles fresh food and daily necessities.
- Mission within the Business:
By leveraging Rakuten's data sources, you will formulate mid-to-long-term marketing strategies and plan and execute short-term promotional measures to acquire and nurture customers.
- Mart Planning & Marketing Section, Promotion Execution Group:
I will leverage all marketing channels to develop and execute user acquisition and retention plans aimed at achieving sales targets, while ensuring the stable operation of marketing activities. As our team is lean, I will handle a wide range of tasks across all phases of the PDCA cycle, from planning to building operational frameworks.

We cover 12 million households in the greater Tokyo area, shipping from two automated warehouses. Position Details
You will be responsible for everything from new customer acquisition to existing customer nurturing, including data analysis (customer, product, UI, and other sales-related aspects), and will be responsible for one of the following:
Main Responsibilities
1.New User Acquisition and Retention
- Formulate new user acquisition plans and budgets.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns.(direct mail, digital advertising, posting ads, etc.)
- Select and manage external/internal media.
Project Example:
Planned and executed the subscription service "Shopping Support Plan" as a retention initiative.
2.Increase Purchase Frequency and Amount for Existing Users
‐ Formulate existing user nurturing plans and budgets.
- Plan and execute customer nurturing programs and CRM initiatives
(e.g., promoting collaboration with Rakuten Group services).
- Propose UI/UX improvements for Rakuten Mart WEB and APP.
3.Identify Issues and Opportunities through Data Analysis and User Research
4.Building and stabilizing operations for new marketing activities

Promotion Execution Group: 14 members (7 full-time employees, 7 temporary agency employees)
