From the employer

About R/GA

R/GA is an independent creative innovation company built for the intelligence age. We harness the power of design and technology to create more valuable experiences for people and brands. From architecting adaptive brand experiences with AI to optimising complex systems for real-world impact, we help organisations anticipate change and shape what comes next. Our teams combine craft, curiosity and technology to deliver work that drives both business and human impact.

About the Role

As the Executive Director, Growth for EMEA, you are the catalyst for our commercial momentum across the UK and Europe. This is a high-visibility, transformational leadership role built for a strategic operator who wants to push the needle, redefine our regional client portfolio, and dictate where and how R/GA wins.

You will partner directly with the EMEA Managing Director to co-own our regional go-to-market strategy and assume full accountability for its execution. Rather than just chasing volume, your focus will be on originating high-quality, high-value leads strictly aligned to our strategic ambitions and priority verticals and helping drive them through to close.

You will act as the primary bridge between Growth and Marketing. Partnering closely with the EMEA Marketing Director, you will translate deep insights into our Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and establish a GTM plan with a focused audience strategy and key marketing components and measurement. By grounding this strategy in a sophisticated understanding of R/GA’s brand, products, and distinct service offerings, you will ensure our outward market presence actively fuels our pipeline.

This role offers the autonomy and mastery to drive profound commercial impact at the intersection of creativity, design, and technology.

On any given day, you might be responsible for:

Strategic Growth & GTM Architecture

  • Partner with the EMEA Managing Director and regional executive leadership to architect R/GA EMEA’s commercial agenda and regional go-to-market plan.
  • Own and shape the annual pipeline ambition for the UK and Europe, ensuring it is robust, well-diversified, and strictly aligned with regional revenue targets.
  • Continuously evaluate market shifts, emerging technology trends, and performance signals to iteratively optimize our commercial approach and GTM execution.

New Business Origination & Market Cultivation

  • Define and execute targeted outbound growth strategies centered on priority verticals.
  • Proactively map the market, build/maintain high-value ICP prospect lists, and identify organic growth signals or non-traditional routes into target accounts.
  • Cultivate and nurture senior-level relationships across target clients, prospects, and key market intermediaries (including pitch consultants and analyst firms).
  • Leverage a sophisticated understanding of R/GA's brand, products, and distinct service offerings to spark meaningful, value-led prospect engagements.

Growth-Marketing Convergence & Brand Presence

  • Serve as the primary bridge between Growth and Marketing, collaborating with the EMEA Marketing Director to turn deep ICP insights into a synchronized content and channel strategy.
  • Guide the regional content calendar, identifying quarterly and annual themes that directly resonate with the immediate commercial pressures and future ambitions of our target clients.
  • Build R/GA's market profile by representing the agency at key industry events, driving proprietary events, and shaping bespoke capabilities presentations or thought leadership that actively attract incoming leads.

Commercial Intelligence & Pipeline Operations

  • Use your knowledge of CRM systems to leverage HubSpot for designing and running custom pipelines, automated sequences, workflows, and predictive dashboards.
  • Establish and run an efficient regional operating framework (reporting cadence, pipeline reviews, conversion tracking) to support commercial decisions with robust data and actionable insights.
  • Align with Global Growth and Revenue Operations to adopt best-in-class tools and standards, while championing EMEA-specific operational insights to improve global enablement tools and templates.
  • Equip and enable cross-functional regional sellers (including Client Service and Account Leadership) to utilize growth tools, templates, and processes effectively.

Pitch Support & Proposition Shaping

  • Lead initial prospect conversations and discovery briefings with confidence, expertly orchestrating when to bring in discipline leaders and when to anchor the narrative independently.
  • Infuse pitch and proposal teams with acute client intelligence and strategic context, ensuring our solutions hit the exact commercial and cultural needs of the prospect.
  • Occasionally manage select opportunities end-to-end through to close to expand our creative and commercial footprint.

The Ideal Person

  • A commercial leader with an end-to-end accountability mindset, from opportunity origination through to revenue realisation.
  • A natural closer with the credibility to operate independently at senior client and executive levels.
  • A strategic thinker who brings hands-on executional excellence.
  • A compelling storyteller with a clear, differentiated point of view.
  • Calm, confident, and decisive under pressure.
  • Highly autonomous, yet deeply aware of when collaboration will strengthen outcomes.
  • Curious, commercially minded, and motivated by turning signal into opportunity.

You Bring

  • Experience in business development, growth, marketing, or consulting within an agency, creative services firm, tech platform, or digitally led business.
  • An established senior network across our priority sectors, with the credibility to open doors directly.
  • Extensive proven track record of owning pipeline creation and lead generation, and closing revenue at a regional or portfolio level.
  • Experience leading RFP/RFI processes, pitch teams, and live prospect engagements.
  • Deep proficiency in HubSpot (or equivalent CRM), including building pipelines, workflows, sequences, and reporting from scratch.
  • Deep understanding of product, experience design, and modern marketing ecosystems.
