From the employer

Job

The Strategic Account Manager owns the long-term success, retention, and commercial growth of the company's largest and most valuable client accounts. Acting as a trusted commercial advisor, the role focuses on building deep, multi-stakeholder relationships at the executive level to align software solutions with overarching client business goals. The position holds high responsibility for managing renewal risks, mitigating revenue churn, and driving expansion opportunities across a high-impact portfolio. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the role ensures strategic value delivery and complex problem resolution to maximize client net revenue retention.

What You’ll Do

  • Drives the long-term retention and commercial growth of a high-value portfolio consisting of the company's most complex and highest-spending client accounts
  • Manages a curated portfolio of approximately 15-25 high-value SMB and mid-market accounts, businesses that are structurally small-to-medium in size but represent outsized commercial value to the company
  • Establishes and shapes deep, multi-stakeholder relationships at the executive level to anchor the business as a core strategic partner
  • Develops and executes comprehensive joint success plans that tie platform value directly to client financial and operational objectives
  • Leads structured business reviews to consistently demonstrate return on investment and uncover strategic expansion pathways
  • Owns and mitigates portfolio renewal risk by accurately forecasting outcomes and coordinating cross-functional mitigation frameworks
  • Influences portfolio expansion by identifying and driving upsell, cross-sell, and advanced technology adoption initiatives
  • Manages complex, multi-stakeholder commercial negotiations to maximize net revenue retention and secure portfolio value
  • Champions the client's voice internally by partnering with product and operational leadership to resolve complex systemic issues
  • Designs replicable account management playbooks and strategic frameworks to uplift collective team capabilities and portfolio health
  • Oversees the maintenance of high-integrity commercial records, pipeline metrics, and data tracking to inform executive decision-making

This job description is not an exhaustive list of duties and may be modified at the discretion of Simpro Group.

What You’ll Bring

  • Advanced commercial acumen with a proven ability to model return on investment and tie software capabilities to business outcomes
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills to navigate multi-stakeholder commercial environments
  • Exceptional cross-functional orchestration capabilities to align internal resources around client needs
  • Data-driven analysis skills to evaluate portfolio health metrics and identify expansion opportunities
  • Complete knowledge and full understanding of strategic account management and customer success methodologies within a SaaS framework
  • Deep understanding of operational workflows, efficiency gaps, and technology integration in growing small and mid-sized businesses
