Who this fits
This role suits someone who can own a sale from inbound demo through subscription close and early account handoff. You will work with founders and the customer success team, carry a visible bookings target, and be measured on closed subscriptions and account durability. The role is remote from Bengaluru, full time, and follows a Monday-to-Saturday working schedule.
From the employer

- Working with: Founders and the customer success team
Weekday is an AI-native recruiting platform. We are backed by Y Combinator and Venture Highway (now General Catalyst). We have built the largest white-collar talent database in India and have built tools to run outbound recruiting campaigns to them.
About the role
A company books a demo with us because their hiring is stuck. From that first call until they're a paying, active customer, they're yours.
You won't be prospecting from zero — inbound and our own outbound put founders and talent leads on your calendar every week. What happens after is entirely on you: run the demo, understand what they're actually hiring for, show them how the database and campaign tooling solve it, close the subscription, and make sure the account starts well rather than quietly going cold in month two.
That means you carry a number, and the number is visible. A week full of warm conversations that closed nothing is a bad week, and we'll both know it. In exchange you get a product companies already want, real demand coming in, and nobody scripting your calls.
If you want a clean job description with neat boundaries, this isn't for you.
What you'll actually do
On any given day you might be:
- Running demos of platform.weekday.works with founders and talent leads, and reading what they actually need behind what they say they need
- Pulling live searches during the call so a prospect sees their own hiring problem solved in front of them
- Chasing the follow-up relentlessly — pricing, procurement, the person who went quiet after a great first call
- Negotiating and closing subscription deals, and knowing which ones to walk away from
- Handing accounts to customer success cleanly, and staying close enough that what you promised is what gets delivered
- Telling us honestly why deals died — pricing, product, timing, or you — so we fix the real thing
- Keeping your pipeline clean enough that your forecast means something
You'll be measured on closed subscriptions and how well those accounts hold up. Not on slides, not on calls logged.
What we're looking for
- You've sold before and you've closed — B2B SaaS or services, ideally to founders and startup teams
- You're sharp on a call: you listen more than you pitch, and you can push back on a prospect without losing them
- You're relentless on follow-up. Deals don't die on your watch out of neglect
- You run your own process and build your own judgment instead of waiting for a playbook
- You're honest about your numbers, including the bad weeks
- You know the Indian startup and hiring ecosystem well enough to hold a real conversation about it
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and a Monday–Saturday pace
What you get
- A product with real demand and real proof — 1000+ companies hire through Weekday
- Full ownership of the closing motion, with the founders a message away
- A front-row seat to how a venture-backed startup is built and run profitably
- Direct influence on pricing, positioning and what we build next, because you're the one hearing the objections
- Uncapped upside if you can close
