Role Overview
The Partner Alliance Director will be responsible for managing strategic partnerships critical to the growth of 1001. This includes onboarding and activating ISP partners, overseeing Telco pre-sales processes, and managing activation programs. You will act as the main interface between our partners and internal teams, driving effective collaboration, seamless technology integrations, and strategic alignment.
This role will be remote-based in Baghdad, with regular site visits within Baghdad and occasional travel throughout Iraq.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Partner Management: Own relationships with ISPs, Telcos, and other strategic partners, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth targets.
- ISP Onboarding & Activation: Lead end-to-end onboarding processes, coordinate activation efforts, and oversee technology integration projects with ISP partners.
- Telco Pre-sales & Activation: Collaborate closely with the sales team to support pre-sales activities, negotiate terms, and drive activation initiatives for Telco partnerships.
- Technology Integration: Facilitate and oversee the successful integration of 1001's streaming platform with partner technologies, coordinating closely with internal product and technical teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Growth, and Legal) to ensure timely delivery of partnership objectives.
- Project Management: Ensure all partnership activities follow defined timelines, deliverables, and budget constraints, maintaining clear documentation and reporting on progress.
- Market Insight: Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to inform partnership strategy and decision-making processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Successful onboarding and activation of ISP and Telco partnerships.
- Maintain partnership activation levels to assigned targets on a monthly basis.
- Timely and successful delivery of technology integration milestones.
- Contribution to subscriber and revenue growth via strategic partnerships.
- Partner satisfaction and retention rates.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in managing technology partnerships, product integrations, commercial alliances, or related roles.
- Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of the ISP and Telco sectors in Iraq, including commercial, technical, and regulatory aspects.
- Technical Acumen: Proven ability to manage technology integration projects and liaise effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management Skills: Experience leading complex projects from initiation through execution, utilizing structured methodologies and tools.
- Commercial & Marketing Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing partnership-driven marketing strategies and commercial agreements.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities in Arabic and English.
- Travel: Willingness to regularly visit partner sites primarily within Baghdad, and occasionally throughout Iraq.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with streaming or digital entertainment platforms.
- Established network within the Iraqi ISP and Telco sectors.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and digital project management tools.
