In this role, you'll combine digital marketing, eCommerce and customer insight to deliver engaging digital experiences that grow our direct online business. Your work will have a direct impact on customer engagement, conversion and commercial performance across one of Air New Zealand's key international markets.

You'll help shape digital experiences that support millions of travellers while working alongside talented teams across Australia and New Zealand to deliver exceptional customer experiences and commercial outcomes.

What you'll be doing

  • Retail fares, destinations, campaigns and offers across our Australian website, delivering engaging and commercially effective content that drives bookings and revenue.
  • Plan and execute retail and loyalty activity across our website, app, email and other owned digital channels to support commercial priorities.
  • Build, test, schedule and deploy customer email communications, ensuring every campaign is accurate, timely and delivers a great customer experience.
  • Monitor website, campaign and eCommerce performance, using analytics and customer insights to identify opportunities that improve engagement, conversion and revenue.
  • Support the delivery of major sales, loyalty initiatives and partner campaigns in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, Loyalty and Digital teams across Australia and New Zealand to bring campaigns to market and achieve shared business goals.
  • Maintain high standards of governance and quality assurance, ensuring all customer facing content, pricing and offers are accurate and aligned with brand and legal requirements.

What we're looking for

You'll bring extensive experience across digital marketing, eCommerce and owned channels, with a proven track record of independently managing digital campaigns, optimising performance and delivering commercial results in a fast-paced consumer environment.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Experience managing website content using a content management system.
  • Experience retailing products, pricing and campaigns across owned digital channels.
  • Hands on experience building, testing and deploying eDM campaigns using a customer engagement or marketing automation platform.
  • Strong understanding of digital and eCommerce metrics, with the ability to turn insights into commercial actions.
  • Experience using analytics, customer insights and experimentation to optimise customer journeys and conversion.
  • Commercially minded, with an interest in the airline, travel or retail sectors.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing pricing, offers and campaign deadlines.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced commercial environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Payload (or a similar CMS), Braze (or a similar customer engagement platform), GA4 and Optimizely (or similar experimentation tools) would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Why this role?

You'll be at the intersection of airline retailing, digital marketing, eCommerce and customer experience in one of Air New Zealand's key international markets.

Over this fixed term contract, you'll deliver major sales and loyalty campaigns, drive digital optimisation, and help shape the future of our Australian digital experience. If you enjoy a fast-paced retail environment and using data and insights to improve commercial performance, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact while working alongside talented teams across Australia and New Zealand.
