The University of Kalba invites applications for a qualified and motivated Assistant Professor of Public Relations and Strategic Communication in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. We seek candidates holding a PhD in Public Relations, Strategic Communication, or a related field, with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Media Relations, Corporate Communication, Crisis Management, Integrated Marketing Communication, Digital Media Strategies, Social Media Analytics, Public Opinion Research, or Advocacy and Campaigning.


The ideal candidate will have a strong research portfolio in strategic communication methodologies, demonstrated by publications in high-impact journals. The successful applicant will contribute to the growth of the Public Relations and Strategic Communication program through teaching, research, curriculum development, and community engagement.

  • Develop and deliver undergraduate courses in public relations and strategic communication using innovative, student-focused teaching methodologies.
  • Lead efforts to update and enhance the public relations curriculum, aligning it with current trends and industry needs.
  • Conduct and publish advanced research in public relations and strategic communication, focusing on the candidate’s area of specialization, in top-tier academic journals.
