What This Position Is All About:

The Motion Graphic Designer supports the Design team by developing creative and innovative animations to be integrated into both digital monthly and Omni campaign projects for Saks OFF 5TH.

● Strong time management skills to work efficiently without compromising quality

● Strong conceptual abilities, sophisticated sense of color and layout with an eye for cropping/selecting photography

● Possess good interpersonal communication skills with a collaborative mindset

● Exceptional attention to detail

● Solutions-oriented, proactive, and not afraid to take initiative

● An interest in the fashion/luxury e-commerce

You Also Have:

● A degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia/Digital Design, or Web Design or an equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job

● A portfolio to share

● 3-5 years of experience in graphic design in a branded content, agency, editorial or marketing environment

● Full understanding of digital platforms to ensure all electronic files are built responsibly (smallest size, proper naming conventions and error free).

● Excellent knowledge of design, typography and branding fundamentals

● Knowledge of the digital environment - including files, formats and best practices

● Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro and other associated tools.

● Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD (Sketch/Figma comparable)

As The Motion Graphics Designer you will:

● Develop unique concept appropriate animations and layouts to fit varying design scopes for projects across a range of channels

● Maintain the level of excellence in all creative with a keen eye for typography, graphic design, illustration, photography and animation

● Possess strong typographic and editorial design skills, to successfully integrate their animations into established style guides, while collaborating with the team

● Work independently and collaboratively as needed, to complete a variety of design and production tasks in a fast-paced environment

● Follow project from concept to final approval ensuring integrity of creative concept is kept in focus throughout

● Ensures proper sign off process-proofreads and verifies content & specs for all projects assigned

● Stay current with the latest developments, technologies, and trends in Design

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $58,000 and $73,0/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits), dependent on the position offered.
